Microsoft TechEd 2012

Tech-Ed

It’s official: South Africa’s premier technology event, Tech-Ed Africa, will be staged from 10-14 February 2013 in Durban – and it promises to be bigger and better than ever before, with four full days crammed with hundreds of learning opportunities and hands-on training, unique breakout sessions with Microsoft speakers and industry experts, and self-paced labs created by product experts.

So why the change in date?

We’ve looked at a few factors: what works best for other Tech-Ed events around the world, what other industry events are on at the same time, and our own product roadmap moving forward. Given these considerations, February seems to be the right time to host the event, and will ensure a line-up of good, strong, exciting content.

That doesn’t mean we don’t want to talk to you before then! To ensure more regular face-to-face contact with our Developer and IT Pro audiences, we’ve created a new event in the calendar – TechDays, an expanded event which incorporates DevDays and now includes content for our ITPro audiences. This will take place in the August / September timeframe, and we’ll let you have exact dates and details the moment these are finalised.

So save the date for Tech-Ed Africa and watch this space for more on TechDays. You don’t want to miss out!
