When and where is Microsoft Tech·Ed Africa 2011?

Microsoft Tech·Ed Africa 2011 will take place on Monday, 17 October 2011 and end on Thursday, 20 October 2011. The conference will be held at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli Convention Centre in Durban, South Africa (Durban ICC).

What does my conference fee include?

The full conference registration fee for attendees includes all meals (excluding breakfast) each day of the program (Mon-Wed), refreshments between sessions, comprehensive documentation and collateral (attendee bag, notebook, pen, attendee shirt (subject to availability), name badge, lanyard etc), sessions presented by top industry speakers, giveways and competitions, networking opportunities, and access to the evening entertainment including the Gala Dinner.

In which language will the conference take place?

When will I be able to access a detailed agenda and build my own schedule?

A tentative agenda with session options will be available sson. A final detailed agenda will be available a week prior to the conference. As much as we would like to make this information available before then, due to the selection of popular sessions, room allocation and time slots it is not practical to do so.

Cancellations & Substitutions

- Cancellations and amendments to registrations and the substitution of a Delegate may be done online by signing into "" or in writing if the registration was made by fax. Such cancellations, amendments or substitutions shall only be effective once Microsoft has confirmed such cancellation, amendment or substitution. The conference Terms and Conditions shall be binding on any substitute.
- Any cancellation after Microsoft has sent an acknowledgement of registration shall incur cancellation charges as follows:
- cancellation received on or before 17h00 on Friday, 16th September 2011: 20% (twenty percent) of the delegate fee per delegate, plus value added tax;
- after 17h00 on Friday, 16th September 2011: Full delegate fee per delegate, plus value-added tax.

Applicable to registration managers (group owner or individual) only
Upon completing your registration an e-mail will be sent to your registered e-mail address which will include an attached copy of your invoice (PDF). Payments are due as indicated on your invoice. Please ensure that payments are made on or before the indicated date to avoid cancellation.
During the registration you will be asked what your preferred method of payment is. Your options are Credit Card, Bank Transfer (EFT) or Bank Deposit.
Need to appoint someone to handle the accounts for your registration? During the registration process you will have the ability to appoint an Accounts Manager.
The Accounts Manager will have the ability to monitor and handle the accounts for your registration. For more information, click here.

Credit Card transactions

An online Credit Card Payment facility is available in My Tech·Ed. To process your credit card payment, sign in to using your registered credentials. Access the Credit card payment section through the Accounts tab.
American Express, MasterCard and VISA credit cards will be accepted for online credit card payments.
You will be required to enter your credit card details on the Microsoft Tech·Ed Africa 2011 website. The total to be processed will be based on the selected of invoices. (You will not have the ability to partially pay an invoice) You will be asked to confirm your transaction on the next page. Upon confirming, your details will be posted to the Nedbank Payment Gateway (iVeri solution) for processing.
Security note: Your transaction is secured via a 128-bit SSL certificate powered by Thawte. A Thawte seal timestamp will be available on the page in order to verify the certificate.
For approved/reversed transactions: you will receive two e-mails regarding your transaction:

• E-mail directly from Nedbank Payment Gateway

Please ensure that the Support Centre receives your proof of payment in order for your registration to be confirmed. For your convenience, a facility has been made available to you in My Tech·Ed to allow you to upload your proof of payment which will be linked directly to your account and sent to the Support Centre to verify.
- Deposit cheques directly at the bank. Please do not post cheques.
- Bank details as per invoice.
- Deposits made into the incorrect bank account will not be considered as payment.
- Please use your registration reference number as your payment reference.

What is My Tech·Ed?

Registration details: Access and amend your registration details.

Group managers: Manage group members - add, edit, substitute, request cancellation and monitor registration completion.

Accounts: For those responsible for payments the following is available:
- A printable invoice and statement to view and/or download.
- An online credit card payment facility.
- An upload facility to allow you to upload your proof of payment which will be linked directly to your account and sent to the Support Centre for verification.

How do I sign in to access my account?

What do I do if I have forgotten my username and / or password?

Visit the forgotten credentials page, enter your registered e-mail address and click on the Continue button. Once your e-mail address has been validated you will have three options available to you: E-mail me my Password (reset), E-mail me my Username or E-mail me my Username and Password (reset).
For security purposes, your username and password will never be sent to you in the same e-mail. If you require your password, it will always be reset and a temporary password will be sent to you. You will be required to update your credentials on next sign in.
