Opening Keynote
Tech·Ed kicks-off with a Keynote Session presented by one or more Microsoft executives who share the company’s vision for the future of IT and provide insights into Microsoft’s strategy for the realization of this vision through current and soon-to-release products.
Breakout Sessions
Breakout Sessions are 60 minute presentations given by some of Microsoft’s most noted speakers. Attendees have close to 210 Breakouts to pick from that are developed with the Tech·Ed audience in mind. Speakers use PowerPoint slides, to set concepts and product demos.
Whiteboard Sessions
Interactive discussions hosted by breakout session speakers (60 minutes), Microsoft Most Valued Professionals (MVP) and other community members.
Hands-on Labs
Self-Paced and Instructor-Led options are available. Hands-on Labs allow you to drill down into Microsoft products on your own, at your own pace. The HOL is filled with hundreds of computer stations and staffed by Technical Learning Guides – noted Microsoft Certified Trainers – who are standing by to assist you. Each lab typically takes 45-60 minutes to complete.
Instructor-Led Labs: While seated at a computer, Microsoft Certified Trainers use manuals to walk you, step-by-step, through important exercises.
Ask The Experts
Meet with the Microsoft product experts at specific pods in the Tech·Ed Expo Hall to learn more about the products they know inside and out.
Ask The Expert Discussions: Spend time with subject matter experts and speakers at the Ask The Experts session, in the Microsoft Tech·Ed Expo.
Who are the experts? Experts include all Microsoft Tech·Ed Speakers, Microsoft Valued Partners (MVP’s), Community Members, Sponsors and Microsoft Staff. Non-presenting MVP’s and Community Members are also required to be available at the Community Lounge.
How to find an expert:
Look for experts wearing their Microsoft speaker shirts.
